Funeral services for Gary Chitsey, age 65 of Mount Vernon, were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Charles Newman officiating.
Mr. Chitsey was born Sept. 8, 1944 in Sulphur Springs to John Chitsey and Juanita Knight Chitsey. He was married to Martha Stone Chitsey. He died Friday, Aug. 6 in Mount Vernon. He is survived by his wife, Martha Chitsey of Mount Vernon; his mother, Juanita Chitsey of Winnsboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shonda Chitsey of Mount Vernon and Jason Chitsey of Mount Vernon; a half brother, John Grau of Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Colby and Lazzetta Chitsey and Josh, Jordon, Jonathan, and Jack Chitsey.
Pallbearers were Mark McEnturff, Milton Norman, Jack Daniel, Lanny Freeman, Ronnie Mobley, Dick Neal, Coy Parchman, and Curtis Waters.
