Funeral services for D’Lane Lambert, age 76 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel in Mount Pleasant. Burial was in the Mount Vernon City Cemetery.
Mrs. Lambert was born Sept. 30, 1933 in Mount Vernon to Earl Hester and Odeal Corley. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She died Wednesday, Aug. 11 in Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Lambert, her parents, two brothers, Earl Hester, Jr., and Donald Ray Hester; and a sister, Willie Lou Dyer. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Tami Aynes of Flowery Branch, Ga., Leslie Ray and Linda Hester of Warren, and Ricky Lynn Aynes of Mount Pleasant; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Earl Sinks, Jr., of Cleburne and Glinda Gay Fulmer of Mount Pleasant; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister, Sara Lynette Banks of Daingerfield; and an aunt, Sue Raley of Mount Vernon. Pallbearers were Phillip Diaz, Tony Diaz, Wayne Meek, Earl Sinks, Chance Solleet, Tucker Burns, and Roy Sinks.
