Funeral services for Dr. Steven White, age 60 of Cookville, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant with Rev. Tommy Oglesby officiating. Burial was in the Blevins Cemetery in Cason under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Dr. White was born Aug. 24, 1950 in Pittsburg. He was a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. He was a retired orthodontist in Mount Pleasant. As an orthodontist, he served many patients in the area including numerous individuals from Franklin County.
He died Tuesday, Aug. 31 at his home in Cookville.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie White of Cookville; a son, George Thomas White of Tyler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and John David Barnard of Gilmer, Brandi Michelle and Gregg Taff Miller of Tyler; three step-daughters, Tammie Dobson of Texarkana, Candi Willett of Texarkana, and Tempie Rutherford of Cookville; and eight grandchildren.
