Funeral services for John Rader, age 82 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. Burial was in the Rockhill Cemetery with Rev. Pete Adrian officiating.
Mr. Rader was born Dec. 1, 1927 in Claremore, Okla., to Roy Rader and Frances Freshire. He was married to Mildred Knowles. He died Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Mount Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife.
He is survived by two children, Robert Rader of Mount Vernon and Darrell Rader of Washington; two sisters, Bessie Stover, Mo. and Hazel Tews of Kansas; and five grandchildren.
