Funeral services for Truman Adams, age 93 of Mount Vernon, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Rev. Pepper Puryear officiating.
Mr. Adams was born Nov. 13, 1916 in Saltillo to James Adams and Hattie Jones Adams. He was married to Clara Cary Pamplin Adams. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a Mason.
Mr. Adams died Tuesday, Nov. 9 in Mount Pleasant.
He was survived by his wife, Clara Adams of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Ruth Ngo of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Marie Anders of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Russell Adams of Tyler; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Fitch, Lanny Ramsay, Jerry Tinsley, Mike Little, Ricky Steed, and Max Rutledge. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Jack Henry Bible Fellowship class.
