Funeral services for Gaylon Chandler, age 75 of Morgan Mill, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Morgan Mill Cemetery with Rev. Joe Rogers officiating.
Mr. Chandler was born on Feb. 8, 1936 in Sap Oak to Guy and Virgie Cantrell Chandler.  He married Helen Cooper on March 1, 1958 in Hagansport. He was a Baptist and has lived in Erath County most of his life.  He made his living as a farmer and rancher and served his community as a member of the Morgan Mill School Board and the Morgan Mill Cemetery Association.
He died Wednesday, March 16 in Hagansport. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; a daughter, Gail Chandler of Frisco; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
