Memorial services for Curtis “Lad” Hart, age 58 of Gilmer, formerly of Mount Vernon, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer.
Mr. Hart was born Sept. 3, 1952 in Porterfield, Calif., to Kenneth Hart and Irene Hitchcock Hart. He served in the U. S. Navy and was the owner of Harts Custom Flooring.
He died Saturday, April 9 in Upshur County.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Hart of Gilmer; his father, Kenneth Hart of Springville, Calif.; his mother and step-father, Irene and Darrell Beatty of Carlsbad, Calif.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Denise Hart of Gilmer, Darin and Sydney Hart of Bakersfield, Calif., and Brandon and Lanette Nugent of Gilmer; a daugther and son-in-law, Kelly and Andy Jordan of Gilmer; a brother and sister-in-law, Kirby and Xan Hart of Springville, Calif.; a sister, Rhonda Marshall Hart of Oceanside, Calif.;  a step-sister and her husband, Dana and Jeff Thayer of Torrance, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
