Graveside services for Donald Rhoades, age 77 of Winnsboro, were at 3 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Good Hope Cemetery in Franklin County.
Mr. Rhoades was born Jan. 10, 1934 in Franklin County.
He died Tuesday, April 6. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Grace Lucille Rhoades, and a half-brother, Bennie Rhoades.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Rhoades, Jr. of Chino, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dyanne and Pedro Herrera of Mount Vernon; his step-children, Tammy Starr, Sharon Cook, Elaine Burnett, James Burnett, John Wayne Burnett, and Jackie Burnett; a half-brother, Edwin Rhoades; a half-sister, Nelda Winkle; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Ginger Rhoades of Mount Vernon.
Pallbearers were the Trantham brothers.
