Memorial services for Johnny Mac Chick, age 67 of Hico, are scheduled for noon, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 5900 Hwy. 6 in Deleon, Tex.
Mr. Chick was born Aug. 19, 1943 in Santa Anna, Tex., to Wayne and Annie McDonald Chick. He was raised and went to school in Brownwood. He served in the Army for 10 years. He was a member of the VFW and was also a Mason. He worked in all aspects of the trucking industry.He lived in Franklin County for seven years and worked for Joe Tex.
He died on Wednesday, May 4 after a sudden illness.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Shelton.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Bell Chick of Hico; five children and their spouses, Carmen and John Vincent, Jerry Dale and Cynthia Chick, Mary and Chad Smith, Teresa Belle and Rick Pullen and Daniel Chick;  three brothers, Teddy Chick, Jimmy Chick and Billy Chick; a sister, Pam Garner; two aunts, Bernice Chick and Betty Mulson, seven grandchildren and numerous cousins, double cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice House at Huguley, 301 Med Park Circle, Burleson, Tex., 76028.
