Funeral services for Marvin Neal Graves, age 77 of East Mountain, will be at10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church in Longview. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery at 3 p.m. with Rev. Murphy Walker and Rev. Terrill Pearson officiating.
Mr. Graves was born Feb. 9, 1934 in Buncombe, Tex., to Marvin Chester and Willie Mae Langford Graves. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mr. Graves was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Juanice Brashear and Nita Fay Cypert.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Graves of East Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Neal and Therese Graves of Kilgore; a son, James Marvin Graves of Carthage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Tim Julian of Carthage, and Kimberly and Bobby Philips of East Mountain; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Katheryn and James Walker of Hallsville, Sue and Maxie Williams of Junction City, Tex., Jeanette and Larry Tigar of Mount Holly, N. J., Virginia Nell and Waymon Gill of Amarillo, and Norma Jean and George Donell of Seymore, Tex.; a brother, Glenn Dale Graves of Tampa, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews
