Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Parker, age 91 of Omaha, were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Omaha. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery in Omaha with Revs. Neal Thornburg and Keith Lauter officiating.
Mrs. Parker was born Sept. 22, 1919 in Omaha, Tex. to James Marvin and Ethel Clayton Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Omaha and retired from Brown’s Omaha Plant Farm.
She died Saturday, Aug. 27 in Omaha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery S. Parker in 1995, her parents, and infant daughter, Wanda Parker, a brother, James D. Smith, and two sons-in-law, Billy Rex Tosh and Jimmy Dale Tosh.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Parker of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Mary Ellen Tosh of Mount Pleasant and Linda Tosh of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Concord Cemetery Association.
