Graveside services for Charles H. Inman, age 89 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at the Hagansport Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating.
Mr. Inman was born March 20, 1922 in North Carolina to James and Marietta Sellers Inman. After World War II, he moved to Kansas City, Mo. where he married Lillian R. Crane. They were married for 65 years and raised four children. They retired to Hagansport in 1992. He was a member of the Hagansport church of Christ, a lifetime member of the VFW, and Boilermakers Union Local 83.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; four daughters, Claudia Bales, Lynda Bourn, Deborah Poindexter, and Mary Hall; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
