Shirley Ann Haley Hare

Shirley Ann Haley HareThe daughter of Jesse and Dorothy Cox Haley, Shirley was born on October 14, 1941 in Hagansport, TX . She was the oldest of four children.

Shirley graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1959. She married her soul mate Durwood Buzz Hare that May.  During their fifty three year journey together, they started their family with two daughters. Tammie Ann Case, husband Bruce Case and Tina Lynn Jaggers, husband Terry Jaggers.

After the girls were born, Shirley began college at East Texas State University.  She received her Bachelor and Masters of Education Degrees.  She began her teaching career with Commerce ISD and completed teaching 28 years later at Sulphur Bluff ISD.  She was a lifetime member of the TSTA.

Along with her passion for teaching, she loved her Lord, family, and friends.  Both Shirley and Buzz are members of Lake Chapel.

She is survived by her loving husband, mother, children and a sister, Reba Todd, husband Stan. Her grandchildren are Ryan Case & wife Lisa, Rachel Case Thomas & husband Cliff, Jaci Jaggers Postell & husband Michael, Jill Jaggers Eudy & husband Craig, and Jentry Jaggers.  She was also the proud great grandmother of Alexis and Reese Case, Dailee and Coy Postell, and Allie Thomas.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father and brothers Frankie Haley and Daryl Haley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Lake Chapel Church with Josh Hood and Gerald Hood officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with pallbearers grandsons; Ryan Case, Jentry Jaggers, Craig Eudy, Michael Postell and Cliff Thomas,
Nephew - Brandon Haley;

Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Cox, Mark Hare, Van Stanley and Jody
Stanley.

Vistitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harvey Funeral Home
Tuesday.
