Funeral services for Jack McKay, age 70 of Tyler, formerly of Mount Vernon, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at the Holly Lake church of Christ with Bro. Floyd Kaiser officiating.
Burial will be in the Holly Tree Cemetery near Holly Lake Ranch.
Mr. McKay was born May 2, 1941 in Dallas. He was a poultry owner/operator, a rancher and a building contractor. He was the general manager at Cypress Springs Marina and served as a Scoutmaster in Mount Vernon. He was a member of the Mount Vernon church of Christ.
He died Sunday, Oct. 23 in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcine McKay.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn McKay of Tyler; his father, Don McKay of Holly Lake Ranch; a son and daugther-in-law, Joshua and Allison McKay of Springfield, Va.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rindy McKay of Tyler and Molly and Sammy Wood of Arp; a brother, Don Garrett McKay of Dallas; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
