Memorial services for Betty Delores King, age 66 of Mount Vernon, were Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bass officiating.
Eulogys were provided by Michael Harlin Veasey and Kathy Marrs. Her remains will be buried at Bethel Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. King was born Feb. 3, 1945 to Udell King and Mary Jo Hoffman. She was a beautician and was a Baptist.
She died Friday, Oct. 14 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and an aunt.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Cook of Mount Vernon; two sons, Randall Veasey and Russell Veasey, both of Garland; a brother, Richard Dell King of Winnsboro; two aunts, Marilyn Allen of Garland and Juanita Lester of Scroggins; an uncle, Hub Hoffman; two nieces, and numerous cousins.
Honorary pallbearers were Michael Veasey, Johnny Delgado, Gary Hunter, Charles Cantrell, and Berry Hammonds.
