Graveside services for Pauline Cannaday Conarroe, age 86 of Mount Vernon, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Rev. Jim Crittenden officiating.
Mrs. Conarroe was born April 16, 1925 in the Lone Star Community of Titus County to Zeb R. Hall and Margaret Davis Hall. She was a member of the American Legion Post 243 for 26 years.
She died Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Mount Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Wayne McKinney, H. Claude Cannaday and Sidney Conarroe; a son, Jimmy McKinney, a daughter, Paula McKinney Steele, and three sisters, Bertha Deaton, Lelia Strawn, and Ethel Brent.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Cannaday of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a son-in-law, James “Buzz” Steele of Brownfield.
