Graveside services for Anita Boyd, age 80 of Mount Vernon, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Ron Milton officiating.
Mrs. Boyd was born Jan. 18, 1931 in Martins Mills, Tex. to Oden Thompson and Lura Davis Thompson. She was married to S. M. “Mack” Boyd.
She died Sunday, Oct. 30 in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Leland Callahan, Tommie Saxton, Wilda Bass, John Thompson, and Quentin Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Mack Boyd of Mount Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresia and Tim Wims of Mount Vernon; one grandson, three great-grandchildren, a step-great-grandchild; and a sister, Wetona Rawdon.
