Funeral services for Marguerite Roberts Satterwhite, age 85 of Mount Vernon, were at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at Bates-Cooper Sloan Chapel. Burial was in the Monticello Cemetery.
Mrs. Satterwhite was born Nov. 20, 1925 in Titus County to Walter Roberts and Mattie Ella Brewton. She was a beauty operator and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.
She died Thursday, Nov. 10 at East Texas Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cleo C. W. Satterwhite, Jerry Boles and Frankie Sargent.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Crystal Satterwhite of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mark Zempel of Durango, Colo.; a grandchild, Daniel Satterwhite of New York City, N.Y.; two great-grandchildren, Marcena and Paul Peterson of Nevada, Calif. and Heidi Hopkin sof Honalulu, Hawaii; two brothers, Soren Peterson and Sebastain Peterson, both of Nevada, Calif.; numerous cousins, and close friends, Jerry and Jean Boles.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Kennington, Jr., Gary Hinson, Matt Harvel, Jerry Boles, Keith Skidmore, and Frankie Sargent.
