Funeral services for Billy Bob Freeman, age 78 of the Miller Grove community, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Old Saltillo Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Woodard officiating.
Mr. Freeman was born April 7, 1933 in Saltillo to Horace Monrue and Evelyn Horan Freeman. He married Reta Irby on July 18, 1953 in the Willow Springs community. He was a salesman with the Coca-Cola Food Division for over 20 years. He was a member of the Miller Grove Water District and the Willow Springs Baptist Church.
He died Sunday, Nov. 20 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pauline Stroud.
He is survived by his wife, Reta; a son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Samantha Freeman of Prosper; a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Steve Christian of Angleton; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Armstrong, Geneva Richardson, and Brenda McCoy; and a brother, Jerry Don French.
Pallbearers were Bret Garrett, Daryl Craze, Jim Woodard, Alex Freeman, Sam Christian, Jeremy Christian, and Chris Freeman.
