Larry G. Ward

A memorial service for Larry G. Ward of Tyler will be on Saturday, Jan. 7 at  2 p.m. at the Old Saltillo Church in Saltillo.
Mr. Ward was born Jan 21, 1944 in Mount Vernon.  He was retired from law enforcement in both Hopkins and Anderson counties. He died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 in Tyler.  
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sherry Ward; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Ward; two daughters, Stephanie Ward Vining and Rosalind and Keith May; and three grandchildren.

Jerry Tom, James, Larry and I (then I was known as Wynelle), played many games of ball in our front yard.....and later, when Larry & Sherry came back home and Larry worked for Pratts where I bought my meats for Wendy's Country Store on I-30..and then Larry came several times (during store breakins) and I got to know another Larry, an outstanding and true friend but I will always treasure the childhood that we had, with Buck and Ann and my parents. Memories.
