Funeral services for Priscilla “Priss” D. Lindsey, age 62 of McCrury and formerly of Albuquerque, N. Mex., were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Bogata with Rev. Carole Sparks officiating.
She was born on April 14, 1949 in Deport to Pat W. and Billie Scoggins Lindsey. She was a retired registered nurse and also had a masters degree in public health. Prior to her retirement, she was the manager of the Case Management Program Department of Senior Affairs, City of Albuquerque; Director of the Welfare to Work Program, City of Albuquerque, and the Manager of the Albuquerque Office of the Area Agency on Aging.
She died at East Texas Medical Center-Tyler on Saturday, Feb. 4. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Homer and Mary Scoggins and her grandmother, Lita Corley Harvey.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey Sloan and Bo Krahn of Bogata; her parents, Pat and Billie Scoggins Lindsey of McCrury; her sister, Patricia Lindsey Edmunds of Bogata; a nephew, Shawn Roden of McCrury; two grandchildren, and close friends, Dale Hillary of Albuquerque, N. Mex., Larry Sloan of Charleston, S.C., Carole and Ray Bonda of Albuquerque, N. Mex., Luke Sloan of Denver, Colo., James Cotton of Denton, and Ron Johnson of Houston.
