Funeral serivces for O. L. “Coach” Colley, Jr., age 91 of Mount Pleasant, were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Peggy Rounseville and Dr. Clint Davis officiating.
Mr. Colley was born April 26, 1920 in Mount Pleasant to O. L. Colley, Sr. and Rosa Johnson Colley. He was an elder emeritus at the First Presbyterian Church, a World War II United States Army veteran, and a Rice Alumni.
He died Thursday, March 8. at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Neva Ingram Colley.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Oza and Debbie Colley of Mount Pleasant; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Donald Brock of Mount Pleasant and Lydia and Danny Stephens of Garland; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Al Ingram, Joseph Colley, Jonathan Colley, David Colley, Clay Stephens, and Matt Jones.
