Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth Atkins, age 69 of Purcell, Okla., will be conducted at a later date.
Ms. Atkins was born Jan. 8, 1943 in Del Rio, Tex., to Carl Lee and Clara Louise Brown Atkins. She was raised in Oklahoma attending school in Waurika. She moved to the Purcell area in 1996 from Mount Vernon, Tex. She was a homemaker.
She died on Wednesday, March 14 in Purcell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Marks.
She is survived by a sister, Sandra Chamness of Lexington, Okla.; four brothers, Oscar Atkins of Mounds, Okla., Robert Atkins of Pauls Valley, Okla., Walter Atkins of Mounds, Okla., and Phillip Atkins of Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
