Memorial services for Joe H. Beadles, age 84 of Winfield, were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon with Dr. Jack Wallace and Rev. Patrick Hartnett officiating.
Mr. Beadles was born Aug. 8, 1927 in Pond Creek, Okla. to Joseph Beadles and Ellen Applegate. He was married to Mary Lynn Cummings. He was an executive chemical engineer for the Fina Corp. He earned a masters chemical engineering degree from Rice University. He was in the United States Navy/Marines. He was a high school coach and math and science teacher. He served as a youth group leader and church leader.
He died on Wednesday, March 14 at Titus Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Betty Beadles, a son, Lynn Edgar Beadles, a brother, Kenneth Beadles, an infant brother, and a great-great-grandchild, Blakely.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beadles of Winfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wayne Johnson of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Richard, Tony, Jack, Harold, and Donald Beadles.
