Funeral services for Georgia Pearl Talbott, age 92 of Powderly, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Pastor Atila Runyan officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Talbott was born May 13, 1919 in Franklin County to James Mack and Jo Ethel Elliott Easterling. She graduated from Talco High School. Her career spanned several years followed by 18 years at Alcatel. She was active at the Bounds Baptist Church, her Sunday school class, vacation Bible school, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She married R. A. Talbott on May 22, 1942.
She died Saturday, May 12. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and four sisters
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Mack “Sonny” and Connie Talbott of Powderly, a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Atila Runyan of Amarillo, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers were Pete Newsome, II, Dave Hellman, Billy Shane Talbott, Russell Melcher, Rodney Talbott and Thad Reid. Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Green, Jr., Eldon Smart, Eldon Smart, Jr., Timothy Easterling, Bryan Easterling, Cecil Ross Loftin and Chad Cain.
