Funeral services for Joyce Lee Welch, age 74 of Mount Vernon, were at noon Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial was in the Perryville Cemetery with Bro. Dan Boler officiating.
Mrs. Welch was born Nov. 7, 1937 in Monahans, Tex. to Albert Lee Henry and Nola LaVada Pittman Henry. She formerly owned Pine Acres Catfish and Doggie Cut-N-Fluff. She was a Baptist.
She died Wednesday, May 9. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Welch.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Austin Welch of Mount Vernon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Tom Howard of Winnsboro and Juile and Randy McKissick of Rowlett; a sister, Barbara Waddill of Perryville; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Castleberry, Cameron Castleberry, Tristen McKissick, Dylan Raad, Carl Welch, and David Welch.
Honorary pallbearers were Clint Lewis, Clay Lewis, and David Welch.
