Graveside services for Thomas Snipes, age 86 of King’s Country, were at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Providence Cemetery with Rev. E. D. Baggett officiating.
Mr. Snipes was born July 21, 1925 in Decatur to A. B. Snipes and Edith Taggert Snipes. He was married to June Belew Snipes. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran.
He died Saturday, June 2 in Mount Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by four children, Gail Armstrong of Dallas, Terry Meniger of Carrollton, Neil Snipes of San Angelo, and Thomas Snipes, Jr. of Scroggins; two brothers, Gean Snipes and Fred Snipes; and a sister, Carolyn Snipes.
