Graveside services for Eddie Bottoms, age 60 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Rockhill Cemetery with F. Edgar Sample officiating.
Mr. Bottoms was born Oct. 11, 1951 in Amarillo to Amos Davis and Laverne Lollis. He was married to Diane McMahon.
He died Saturday, June 9 in Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Bottoms of Mount Vernon, and a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and James Sample of Euless.

I have been trying to find you, and Eddie for a while .I'm so sad to see Eddie passed away. I wrote Billy Weaver to see if you were on the net anywhere,and he sent me this :/ I'm so sorry Diane, I hope you and your daughter are OK. I have thought of you guys many time over the years,and laughed when i told my kids about how i met Eddie. My mother grounded me,and made me go home with Janelle. I had the time of my life. I learned to dance, and play Yahtzee. I also came home with a fantastic french braid. lol What a good man., but i dont have to tell you that.. Hope your doing ok,,and please write me sometime.
