George Gary Gruber, 61 of Winnsboro, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in a Mount Vernon hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14 at Cypress Cemetary at 6:00 p.m.
Gary was born May 15, 1951 in Bryan, Texas to George Holder Gruber and Alberta Lou Lenhart Gruber. He moved to Dallas and graduated from W. T. White High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1980 he married Robin Amos and they had two sons, Kenny in 1982 and Kevin and 1984. Gary was self-employed as a carpenter. On August 19, 2006 he married Keri Cupp and began raising his daughter Chloe. His youngest daughter Couri was born in 2010. Gary enjoyed fishing and was a member of Media Bass, Coppell Bass Club, C.A.S.T., Bass Champs, and Honey Hole Magazine. He was also a former Boy Scout leader and faithfully attended First Baptist Church Mount Vernon.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife Keri; mother Alberta Gruber; sons George (Kenny) Gruber and Kevin Gruber; daughters Chloe Gruber and Couri Gruber; brother Paul Gruber; sisters Terry Dargan, Martha Rose, Jeanie Uhrick, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law; and his mother and father-in-law.
