Funeral services for Mary “Nita” Pendergrass, age 80 of Scroggins, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery with Richard Rutledge and Dalton Graves officiating.
Mrs. Pendergrass was born May 6, 1932 in Mount Pleasant to St. Elmo Lambert and Jimmie Gaines Lambert. She was married to Ernest Pendergrass.
She died Sunday, July 22 in Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Pendergrass of Scroggins; four children, Ernie Pendergrass of Mesquite, Jaton Kasprzyk of Mesquite, Brenda Dymond of Seve Valleys, Penn., and Shane Pendergrass of Little Elm, Tex.; a sister, Helen Wright of Omaha; seven grandchildren, Eric Liebel, Casey Liebel, Jenna Kasprzyk, Kristen Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass, Julin Shaw, and Sevren Chwang; and two great-grandchildren, Kayden Moosavi and Alexander Shaw.
Pallbearers were Eric Liebel, Casey Liebel, Ernie Pendergrass, Shane Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass, and Brett Wright.
