Phillip Ellis, age 50, was born April 8, 1962 and passed away on Aug. 1, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Ellis of Mount Vernon; daughter, Whitney Ellis of Dallas; stepson, Kasey Easley of Mount Vernon; and two grandchildren, Kayden Ellis and Ethan Easley; his father, Raymond M. Ellis; his step-mother, Mary Ellis; his mother, Julia Solla Housewright; his sisters, Tena Gray of Royce City, Tammy Thomas of Farmersville, Lou Ann Mitchell of Richardson, and Julie Zackery of Wylie.

Phillip was preceded in death by his brother, John Ellis. Visitation was held Friday, Aug. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie. Memorial services were Saturday,  Aug. 4 at the United Methodist Church in Wyle.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home in Wylie.
