Funeral services for Jeanene Puryear, age 76 of Cisco, were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Cisco with Rev. Pepper Puryear and Rev. Zack Tunnell officiating.
Mrs. Puryear was born  in Anniston, Ala., Feb. 13, 1936 to O. O. and Ina Little Pope. She graduated from Tyler High School and attended the University of North Texas where she met and married her husband of 57 years, Jim. She retired from Cisco Independent School District after serving 28 years as school secretary and reading aide. She was a long-time member of the Baptist faith . She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eleanor Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Cisco; two sons and daughters-in-law, Pepper and Debra Puryear of Mount Vernon and Mike and Hazel Puryear of San Antonio; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Hazel Pope of Carthage; and four grandchildren.
