Memorial services for Travis Alan Wright, age 57 of Clarksville, will be at Evergreen Cemetary pending further notification.
Mr. Wright was born Sept. 27, 1954 in Saint Joseph Hospital in Paris Texas to Claiborne George and Margaret Fry Wright. He was the first sibling of five boys and one girl. His father taught Science at Mount Vernon I.S.D. until retiring. Mr. Wright resided at Regency Healthcare in Clarksville. He attended Denton State school and he lived in Greenville,  where he attended Workshops for Lakes Regional. He participated in the Special Olympics, where he won several first place blue ribbons. He was awarded Excellence Awards for Special Citizens in the Creative Arts Department at the 2004 Hunt County Fair.
He died Tuesday, Sept. 18. He was preceeded in death by his parents and younger brother Kimbrough George Wright.
He is survived by three brothers, Richard Samuel of Greenville, Randolph Johnston, and Michael Gene Wright of the Wright Plantation; and a sister, Ann Wright Shofner of Mount Vernon.
