Graveside services for Dawn McKay, age 69 of Tyler, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at Holly Tree Cemetery in Holly Lake Ranch, Tex.
Mrs. McKay was born Dec. 4, 1942 in Mineral Wells. She lived in Mount Vernon before living in Winnsboro and in Tyler for the past five years. She was a owner/operator of a poultry business and was a member of the Mount Vernon church of Christ. She was a Girl Scout leader and was manager of the Cypress Springs Marina. She also worked as a pharmacy tech.
She died Thursday, Nov. 22. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McKay in 2001 and her brother, Brad Daugherty.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Allison McKay of Springfield, Va.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rindy McKay of Tyler and Molly and Sammy Wood of Arp; one brother, Bill Daugherty of Dallas; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
