Graveside services for Freddie Sims, age 79 of Mount Vernon, were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, Tex., with Kevin Rhodes officiating.
Mrs. Sims was born Oct. 2, 2013 in Longview to Joseph Hershel and Opal Barrett Maughon. She was married to Jasper Sims. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mount Vernon church of Christ.
She died Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Steven Sims, and two brothers, Charles and Donald Maughon.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Mark Sharpin of Mount Vernon and Michelle Sims of Mount Vernon and two grandchildren.
