Funeral services for Dianne Evers, age 59 of Scroggins, were at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Bro. C. C. Morris and Bro. Richard “Nub” Brown officiating.
Ms. Evers was born Sept. 13, 1953 in Winnfield, La. to Dalton and Marie Wactor Evers. She worked as a nurse and was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.
She died Wednesday, Jan. 30. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Evers in 2003.
She is survived by her parents, a daughter, Janet Henry of Mabank; a son, Randy Cox of Winnsboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael W. and Donna Evers of Goliad; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
