Alzheimer Support Group to meet locally

The Alzheimer Support Group for the Mount Vernon area will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 17 at the Franklin County Library on the square. Caregivers, families, and friends are encouraged to attend the event to share information and learn ways to deal with Alzheimers.

Lunches of Love to start Tuesday

Lunches of Love will begin on Tuesday, July 8 and continue through Thursday, August  14. Bus transportation will be provided; however, children will not be permitted to board a bus if they have not returned a fully completed and signed registration packet.

The flags are numbered and represent a particular service man or woman.

Spring plant and seed swap set

The Franklin County Library will sponsor a Spring plant and seed swap on Thursday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. in front of the library. “Anyone with seeds and cuttings is invited to come and share and also take home some new items,” Librarian Lisa Lawrence said.
