Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Joyce Marie Thompson was born on August 17, 1940 and passed away peacefully on February 28, 2013 at the age of 72. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful grandmother.  She is survived by children Cynthia Ann Renteria, Karen Marie Schmidt and Mark Franklin Dunham.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.  She loved living in the country and was active in the VFW.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary.  Joyce was loved by all who knew her.  There will be a celebration of her life held at her home in Mount Vernon on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2 PM.
