Funeral services for Edna Earle Graves, age 84 of Mesquite and formerly of Mount Vernon, will be at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Mount Vernon church of Christ with Richard Rutledge, Chip Horton, and Jason Graves officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County.
Mrs. Graves was born on Jan. 8, 1929 in Hamilton, Tex., the daughter of Joe Banks Wilson and Dollie Ranne Wilson. She married Dalton Woodrow Graves in Dallas on Oct. 4, 1947. She was a mother, homemaker, and member of the church of Christ.
She died Sunday, May 5 at Baylor Medical Center of Garland.
She is survived by her husband, Dalton Graves of Mesquite; two sons, Dean Graves of Edmond, Okla. and Mark Graves of Ellenboro, N. C.; two daughters, Vickie Glass of Chester, N. H. and Dana Swanson of Flint; two sisters, Berta Sue Snyder of Balch Springs and JoNell Estep of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Graves, Clayton Graves, Brian Glass, Brannon Bourland, Philip Sinquefield, Mackenzie Smith, Lane Graves, and Ron Swanson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Stanley, Donnie Anderson, T. C. Graves, and Larry Johnson.
