Funeral services for William E. Eargle, age 70 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Rev. Pepper Puryear officiating.
Mr. Eargle was born Sept. 2, 1942 in Dallas to Singleton Elias and Willieada Little Eargle. He married Mary Ellen Caulkins on Nov. 22, 1975 in Dallas. He was a retired security officer and truck driver for Trident Aluminum, where he worked for over 45 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He died Friday, May 24. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eddie Paul Eargle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Eargle of Mount Vernon; a son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Monica Eargle of Dallas; a daughter, Sharon Parrson of Oklahoma; thre grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one niece, a sister-in-law, Linda Walter and Everett of Mount Vernon; and a brother-in-law, John Caulkins and Kathleen of Kenner, La.
Pallbearers were Matt Alonso, Leon Pless, Andy Jones, Garry Clay, Don Dobson, and Danny O’Hara.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon.
