The Mount Vernon Independent School District will hold a public meeting to discuss the results of the Districts 2007-08 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) on October 15, 2009 at 6:00 PM in the Board Room of the Mount Vernon Administration Building at 501 Highway 37 S, Mount Vernon, Texas.  This public meeting will occur during the school board’s regular October meeting which was moved from October 12 to October 15.

MVISD continues to maintain a rating of SUPERIOR ACHIEVEMENT by receiving a perfect score of 75 out of a possible 85 for this years rating which is based on records for the 2007-2008 school year.   The state financial accountability system, FIRST, measures a school district’s fiscal achievements using 24 criteria or indicators.
