The city council of the City of Mount Vernon will conduct three public hearing at 6:30 p.m., december 8, 2009 in the council chambers of City Hall, 109 N. Kaufman Street, Mount Vernon, Texas.

The purpose of the first and second hearings is to hear evidence for or against a request made by Longhorn MTV, Inc. To rezone the properties located at 1318 & 1320 Holbrook Street from intensive industrial (ii) to local retail (lr).

The purpose of the third hearing is to hear evidence for or against the proposed tree preservation ordinance.
