The Franklin County Commissioners Court will conduct public hearings on Thursday, Feb. 18 and 25. The hearing will be conducted in the Franklin County Courthouse Annex, located at 208 Hwy. 37 in Mount Vernon, Texas starting at 7 p.m. both dates. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment on a proposal for the county to expend approximately $400,000 from the fund balance for further development of the Franklin County Sports Complex, located off CR NW1030. Public comments will be limited to three (3) minutes per person. Those wishing to comment must indicate their intent on the sign-in sheet at the meeting.
