The City Council of the City of Mount Vernon will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday,April 8, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 109 N Kaufman street, Mount Vernon, Texas.

The purpose of this hearing is to hear evidence for or against a request from the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon to appeal the Mount Vernon landmark commission’s disapproval of the existing sign located at 319 S. Kaufman street.
