Darlings compete at World Series

The Franklin County Darlings All-Star softball team competed at the Dixie Darlings World Series this week in Bay St. Louis, Miss. The team started off with a 7-4 win over Virginia on Saturday, July 26.

Causin’ Chaos, 16 and under, fastpitch softball teamThe Causin’ Chaos, 16 and under, fastpitch softball team placed third overall at the USSSA World Series in Plano July 17-20. The team was undefeated going into the final day of play.

Donkey baseball challenge Saturday

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse members will be hosts for a “Donkey Baseball” fund raising event on Saturday, August 2. Action gets underway at 7:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Arena on FM 115.
