Rose, Rios double up for second place win

The girls doubles team of Taylor Rose and Jordan Rios claimed a second place victory in the Liberty Eylau Invitational Tennis Tournament last week. All-District selections for 24A announced

All-District selections for District 24A, Division II were announced last week. Braden Ivy, a junior from Saltillo, was named Co-Newcomer of the Year, and Erin Zeringue, a senior from Sulphur Bluff, was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Tiger teams compete at Prairiland track meet

The Mount Vernon Tiger varsity track team finished in fourth place out of seven teams at the Prairiland meet on Thursday, February 27. Mount Vernon junior varsity ladies beats DeKalb

The Mount Vernon Lady Tiger junior varsity softball team beat DeKalb 13-1 on Tuesday, February 25. Kara Hollingsworth pitched two innings. She faced eight batters with no hits, two strike outs, and one run.

Brown, Craver qualify for State

Corbin Craver and Ashley Brown, powerliftingCorbin Craver and Ashley Brown both qualified for the state meet in powerlifing last week. Brown, a senior, competed at the regional meet in White Oak on Thursday, February 27 in the 148 lb. class.
