Pletcher named MVP, Tiger staff are Coaches of Year

Kason PletcherKason Pletcher was named the District 7-3A-D1 Most Valuable Football Player for the 2017 season, and the staff at Mount Vernon was named Coaches of the Year.

Tigers finish season as Area finalists

The Mount Vernon Tigers football team finished the 2017 season as Area finalists after the Kemp Yellowjackets scored a touchdown in the final 18 seconds of the game to win 23-16 on Friday, November 24.

Winnsboro wins Saltillo tourney

The Saltillo Lady Lions basketball team were hosts for a tournament November 16-18. Winnsboro defeated Bullard in the Championship game 40-37.

Saltillo ladies defeat Avery

The Saltillo Lady Lions varsity basketball team defeated Avery 37-23 on Tuesday, November 21. The junior varsity ladies won 28-6.
