The Mount Vernon Tigers lost to the Winnsboro Red Raiders 15-14 in a clash of neighboring rivals on Friday, September 20. “I was proud of how our kids never stopped fighting and how they handled the wet conditions of the field and the ball,” Head Coach Mike Alexander said.
“But at the end of the day, Winnsboro made a couple of more plays than we did.” Grant Lowry catches one of his five receptions against Winnsboro Red Raiders. This reception set up the touchdown made by Mason Cook during the second quarter. Lowry gained a total of 60 yards during the game.
