It wasn’t pretty, but the Mount Vernon Tiger football team held on Friday night to claim a 14-7 victory over the Prairiland Patriots. The win gives the Tigers a 6-0 record, the team’s best start in over 10 years. Jonathan Barker wrestles possession of a 28 yard pass from a Prairiland defender. The pass set up the Tigers second touchdown of the game on Friday, Oct. 5. For more information, see the Oct. 11 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
