Franklin County Genealogical Society

The Franklin County Genealogical Society was established in 1997. Annual dues (Jan-Dec) are $15. Meetings are held the third Monday of each month in the Genealogical Research Room at 7:00 pm.

Research Room:
Our research room is located at 110 East Main Street, on the Square in Mt. Vernon. The room is open Monday through Friday 10 am - 4 pm and Saturday 10 am - 2 pm.

Web Site:
The research room is now online. In Fall 2008, the Franklin County Genealogical Society earned the Third Place Partner Society Website Award, presented at the Texas State Genealogical Society Annual Conference 2008.
